Daystar enrolls infants up to three years of age for a minimum of two days per week, up to five days per week, based on availability. A number of factors impact the intake process, including diagnosis, level of care required, transportation, alternative care, and availability. Daystar works closely with each prospective family to ensure the child's entire care giving team, including pediatrician and therapsists, are in agreement on the baby's needs and what Daystar can offer. The intake process takes an average of 60 days.
While availability is limited, we encourage prospective families to complete the appropriate intake paperwork and consider being placed on our waitlist to ensure proper consideration when an opening becomes available.
Families interested in learning more about our program are encouraged to call our Director of Admissions & Family Support, Julia Alaimo, at 385-6287.
