Mission Statement

Daystar for Medically Fragile Infants, Inc, an independent, publically supported ministry of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Rochester, New York, is dedicated to caring for our community’s most vulnerable infants from birth to the age of five.  Daystar provides quality child care, respite care, advocacy and family support in a safe and stimulating home environment.

Vision Statement

At Daystar, we believe that what happens to all children in the earliest years of their lives is of critical importance, both to their immediate well being and to their future.  Daystar’s pioneering work will become a model program, replicated throughout the region, the state and nation, helping thousands of families and their medically fragile children during their crucial first years of life, bringing them stability and helping them to reach their fullest potential.
